It is very easy to stick to eating your breakfast, lunch, dinners and mini snacks in between meals. Keeping track of these meals and snacks is easy. But are you being honest about everything you eat? Sometimes we snack mindlessly. It happens when you have one of the following moments
**just little of this
**a bite of that
**a taste of this
**just one
Yes, you know you are doing it at the time but you do not track these calories. Today I want to show you how these calories do add up and can sabotage your diet efforts.
Let's say throughout the day you did the following
1)Had a bite of Macaroni and Cheese of a loved ones plate (75 calories)
2)Had just one triscuit (20 calories)
3)Ate a couple shredded wheats (40 calories)
4)A handful of cereal (60 calories)
5)a little spoon of peanut butter or a lick off the knife(30 calories)
6)Just Oreo like cookie (50 calories)
The above six little bites took about 30 seconds of your day to eat and added 275 calories to your caloric intake for the day! When trying to create a 500 calorie deficit a day, the mindless snacking just crushed your efforts!
So what do you do if this is you?
Plan out your caloric intake for the day and stick to it!!!! Do not stray from your plan! You may forget about it later, but your body does not! Every bite counts!!!!
