Keep up the Sacrifices!

I want to share a story with you from yesterday.

Scenerio: Training session with Tracy at Canton Club, Tracy is taking a break between sets of abdominal exercises and Jacki is looking over Tracy's Fitbook!

Characters: Jacki and Tracy

Jacki: I love looking at your diet. Your diet is so much more interesting than anyone else's. You always have something different.

Tracy: I have to mix it up and I have to eat foods I like.

Jacki: I am just impressed how you can eat smaller servings. Most people need to feel they are eating a lot so can not just eat really small portions.

Tracy: (looking at Jacki like she has three heads) Well, I did not say it was easy. I am hungry all the time! I am tired all the time.


So why the story, it was Tracy's last statement that really made an impact on me. Tracy has lost weight every weigh in of the competition. She has been very disciplined and dedicated, despite several obstacles one being a stress fracture in her foot. She makes losing weight look so easy! It never even occured to me it was not easy for her.

So the lesson learned, WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT EASY! IT IS A CONSTANT STRUGGLE AND REQUIRES A LOT OF SACRIFICES!!!!

But remember, ONCE YOU REACH YOUR GOALS, MAINTAINING IS NOT AS DIFFICULT ESPECIALLY IF YOU EXERCISE REGULARLY!

Keep working toward your goals. Do not quit!

Start putting together a plan for what you are going to do once the competition is over to make sure you reach your long term goals! You have met a lot of new people through this competition and have two trainers here for your support! Use the new people in your life as your support system!
